About The Course
The Spardha Method Book 1 is your child's next step toward becoming a graceful Kathak dancer!
This course is designed for those who have been dancing for 6-8 months or have completed the Foundation course. The student will not only polish the already learned skills but also dive into next-level rhythm techniques, intricate
footwork, elegant hand movements, and beautiful spins, all applied in dance routines set to Taal Teentaal.
The teacher will guide your child through live, interactive 1-1 sessions, helping them build rhythm control, expressiveness, and the confidence to perform this classical art form with joy and authenticity.
Prerequisites
- Must have completed the Kathak Foundation course or have at least 6 months of prior training in Kathak.
Topics Covered
- Introduction to Taal Teentaal at 3 speeds: Barabar, Dugun, and Chaugun
- 4 new Todas in Taal Teentaal
- 2 Chakradar Todas in Teentaal
- 2 basic Tihais
- A basic Abhinaya piece like a Bhajan set to music
Learning Outcomes You Can Expect
After completing this course, your child will be able to:
- Dance and recite all 6 Todas, 2 Chakradar Todas, and 2 Tihais with confidence
- Perform Kramalaya with command over Barabar, Dugun, and Chaugun speeds
- Demonstrate Asamyukta Hastamudras (one-hand gestures) from Abhinaya Darpana
- Perform and express a beautiful Abhinaya piece with emotion and grace
